TV dude came by on time today and needs to order a new part for the TV. As I thought, it’s not the lamp. So he’s gonna put in the order for a new…thing. Looked like an entire motherboard section that goes in conjunction with the lamp. Hopefully it’s done by Friday…

Rock! Awesome news, I really miss the show.
Full Metal Alchemist
I recently finished watching the Full Metal Alchemist series (2 seasons, 51 episodes spread out on 13 DVDs) and I think it has unseated Cowboy Bebop as my favorite anime series. It’s an incredibly powerful show with some of the best characters ever made, great animation, amazing music and a plot that delivers on every level. It’s funny, it’s exciting, it’s really fucking sad. The series ended in Japan at the end of 2004 and we just got the DVDs last week. Cartoon Network finished showing the series in the US a few weeks ago, but it was a long wait regardless (I waited for the dvd’s because anime on dvd is infinitly better than watching it on tv). We just got the movie as well and I’m waiting for that from Netflix. I can’t wait because the show had one of the best endings I’ve ever seen in my life.
Nip/Tuck
Season 4 of the best television show ever made begins tonight! It’s been a long wait but this season should be fantastic by the sounds of it.
Tonight at 10pm EST on FX!

DailySixer.com Video: Family Guy Creator Seth MacFarlane’s Harvard Graduation Speech
Attention Family Guy fans! Watch this video, Seth does his speach as himself and then 3 of the most beloved FG characters. Really funny (and he addresses the South Park episode in the Stewie portion).
Nip/Tuck Season Finale
And Season 3 is done. It was a really outstanding 2 hours to end the show, but Season 3 was easily the weakest season so far. Fragmented story telling is the best way to describe it. Things happen and then are totally left behind until 4 episodes later. So while the season had it’s moments, it wasn’t as intense and enthralling as the past 2 season arcs were. The end was done really well, at least 3 twists and 2 set ups for next season. There are some pretty glaring plot holes, but I choose to take it in stride and just say fuck it, give me season 4.
We are definatly getting a season 4 and the ratings for this season and the season finale in particular were record setting for FX.
“Nip/Tuck” ended its third season with more young adult viewers than any other single episode of a cable series this year. Two-hour season finale averaged a 3.0 rating/9 share among adults 18-49 and 5.7 million total viewers from 10 p.m.-midnight Tuesday. FX said “Nip/Tuck’s” Tuesday numbers also made the episode the most-watched single telecast among adults 18-49 in the cabler’s history. Third season of “Nip/Tuck” remained the highest-rated series on basic or pay cable among adults 18-49. Among all viewers, “Nip/Tuck” was cable’s fourth most-watched show of 2005, behind “The Closer,” “Monk” and “The 4400”.
I hope Ryan Murphy doesn’t fall too far in love with making movies so we can get more seasons.

Real quick
Some quick things:
The season finale of Nip/Tuck is tonight! 2 hours and we find out who the Carver really is. My prediction is that it’s Bobolitt, who we last saw in Season 2 if I remember right. I can’t figure out who else it could be, it simply can’t be Christian or Sean and I don’t believe it’s a chick. Bobolitt has the biggest motive and means behind Quentin (who I think is too obvious to be the Carver).
I heard that the band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah were good, so I tracked down their self titled album. It is, in fact, not good. Just plain bad. The intro is one of the most irriatating things I’ve ever heard and the rest of the album is so forgetable and shitty it’s not worth listing to. Now, Bloc Party- “Silent Alarm” is a damn fine album. I first heard their single “Banquet” and loved it. That song made it on the SSX 4 soundtrack and is one of my favorites songs in the game. So I finally got around to getting their album and it’s really good. Some great up beat catchy songs…the singer really stands out, the bass lines are a lot of fun and the drummer gets some great licks in. I recommend them to the fullest extent of the law.

Further proof that the Japanese are crazier than any other nationality. I hope we get a Japanese Gameshow channel sometime. I’d watch it everyday, this shit is hilarious.

Nip/Tuck ramblings
The show is just become far too fragmented. Most notably is Kit being attacked and ending that episode with Christian starting the consultation. And then that’s it. For going on 3 weeks. The whole Carver reign of terror (for lack of a better term) has been going on for months (in the show) but it’s like it’s pushed to the side and just forgotten until there’s an episode that needs filling.
That said, I do like the split between Sean and Christian. They’re like parallel people. They’re both miserable, but each one is walking on a the other side of a fence. Sean has lost everything and now feels empty and is trying to find what he’s missing. He’s broken away from everything he’s known, but keeps filling that void with the wrong thing. There is no way this Witness Protection chick will do anything but fuck him up further. And Julia is just as fucking dumb as he is. Now Christian is settling down and becoming more of a whole person. He now weighs his options more, he’s dealing with ethics…more like the way Sean was (as Quentin pointed out). And Kimber looks to be that one piece he’s always been looking for. And you better believe that’s not going to end well either.
While I don’t like the crazy paths the show is on now, I still care about the characters and want to know what’s going to happen. I’m hoping they’ll start really focusing in on the threads they have going now and tie them together into some fucking crazy last half of a season. There’s still like 10 episodes left in the season so there is plenty of time for things to come together.
Busy, busy!
We got some new furniture from my Aunt and Uncle who are moving to Florida in a month. I got a new bed for my room which resulted in 2 days of moving shit around. So now my room looks completely different now. Still have to hang some things up and I want to rotate the paintings that are in my room out. Got a CD tower so I can get some more room on my desk and make shit look better. We also got a new couch for the basement. It’s pretty sweet.
I am now all caught up on Lost and tonight is a new episode which I am greatly looking forward to. Last nights Nip/Tuck was another phenominal episode. No sex or violence but the other staples of the show, terrific character development and acting made it a winner.
Picked up Batman Begins and Unleashed on DVD, which I will watch after I finish disc 5 of Full Metal Alchamist. It’s weird, in the past month or so I’ve watch more anime than I have since high school. Speaking of which, everyone should see Samurai Shamploo. Now in my top 5 animes of all time (out of like 10 since 90% of anime is garbage).
Gamewise SSX 4 is out and the more I play it, the more I like it. Don’t think it’s as good as SSX3 which basically made SSX2 obsolete. Stubbs the Zombie comes out this week and I hear it’s riot, I’ll have to check it out.
