And when the wind blows? Forget it. It’s like zero. It’s the kind of cold where it hurts to go outside. Locking it down tonight.

Catch up
Time for a quick game of catch up.
The new albums by Audioslave and Method Man, “Revelations” and “4:21…The Day After”, respectivly, are both fantastic. Fans of Rock and Rap can’t go wrong with these discs.
Dead Rising for the xbox 360 is a fantastic game, a true showcase for next gen games. It’s got a shitty DRE problem that seems to pop up once a game session that is irratating but it’s not a game killer. A sequel is a no brainer (not a zombie pun, I swear) and would be very easy to make better than the original. Namly, online co-op. Lots of great games coming out really. Company of Heros on the PC, NBA 2k7, NHL 07, Saints Row for 360, Yakuza and Okami on the PS2. The Tokyo Game Show is happening as we speak with a lot of good info coming out and X06 is next week where MS should be showing us 360 a whole lot to look foward to.
My apologies to rapper T.I after I talked shit about him a few weeks ago. I watched ATL and really liked him in it so he doesn’t suck as much as I said he did.
Howard Stern continues to suck ass. May Opie and Anthony (and lil Jimmy Norton) continue to stomp a mud hole in his greedy, egotistical, lying ass.
I’m hungry so I’m going to go eat Gods gift to man: Pizza.
Random stuff
Some random updates. Script is on page 10. Looks like my goal of 20 pages is going to be easily achieved, some work is going to be needed to the beginning to get it the way I want. Length wise I’m fine but I want to make the setup as good as possible.
I’ve seen a bunch of movies in the past few weeks. Pirates 2 wasn’t as good as the first, but was still a fun movie. Part 3 looks like it’s going to be great as well. Depp kicks ass.
Broken Flowers starring Bill Murray sucked something fierce. Horrendous pacing, a shit ending that made me completely regret watching the movie. I actually fast fowarded though parts it was so boring. And I didn’t have to worry about fast fowarding through anything important because those parts were just traveling scenes. Bill Murray visits 4 ex girlfriends, and he’s shown him traveling to each of them. It had to have been at least 15 minutes worth of “watch Bill get on an airplane and then drive down the road”. You even get to see him get lost, ask for directions, turn around and then drive for another 5 minutes. UGH. There were two good parts that totalled 2 1/2 minutes of screen time. The first was a drug discussion between Murray, his neighbor and the neighbors 6 year old daughter. The second scene was this gorgeous girl (she plays Sharon Stones teenage daughter) who got naked. Totally didn’t see it coming and it was awesome. Almost enough to recommend watching this pile. Worse than Lost in Translation.
Clerks II turned out much better than expected. Got to see some favorite characters from my past, got introduced to some great new ones and shared more than a few laughs with 100 other people in the theatre. Dirty talk like you’d expect from a Kevin Smith movie (along with some safe direction) and writing that only he can do. It won’t convert any Kevin Smith haters, but it was a great flick that told a great story. Thank god it didn’t suck.
Statues like what
Strange statues around the world | haha.nu – interesting findings over the net
Check out these reallly wild statues found all over he world.
Sorry that I’ve been ignoring you
It’s been a combination of being busy with the mundane and not having anything really interesting to write about.
Looks like summer (read: not cold) weather has hit NJ. It’s a welcome change. With the change of weather I’m looking to make myself more creative. The plan is to make a movie with John, it’s been far too long since our last project and we need to get something going. I’m sick of being stagnant. Hopefully Xmen 3 will stir my creative juices. I just wish Brett Ratner didn’t direct it. I hate him.
My main goal is to write more, so this month should see many more updates.
Also: see Grandma’s Boy. It’s outragous.
Some random mentions
My new CPU fan came today, Jon and I should be installing it today. Then we are nuking my main drive and putting a fresh XP install. That’ll probably take 3 hours to get everything running 100%. A ton of software/hardware updates need to be done. Pain in the ass, but the computer needs it. My DVD burner is messed up, I’m hoping this will fix it.
If anyone is looking for a new mouse, you gotta get the Logitech wireless MX Laser mouse. I think it’s the MX 200. 55 bucks on Amazon and it’s awesome. Really comfortable, a charge last a long time and it only takes an hour to recharge it to 100%.
Howard Stern started his Sirius career today. He got a rediculous stock share from pulling in the most subscribers SIRI has ever seen in a quarter. Retarded, yes, but I own SIRI stock so if the company keeps doing well, I’m going to do well too. Now if my XM stock will go back up, I’ll be doing really well.
Another random bit, Optimum Voice works really well. If you have a phone bill that goes over $35 bucks a month, there is no reason not to switch. You get a ton of features and never have to worry about long distance charges. The voice quality is tops too.
I’ll be back again when my computer is back in prime form.
Still not a millionaire
Damn the lottery for me not winning it. The Mega Millions in NJ was up to 260 million and I didn’t win. No one did and it’s now at a mind boggling 310 million dollars. Better believe I’m going to play again.
I’m still fighting off that bug I got last week. I think it’s allergies more than a bug. I don’t feel shitty, but I got some weird ass cough thing going. I sleep fine so that’s a plus.
Let’s see, what else? Potter 4 hits theatres on Friday and I can’t wait. I haven’t looked foward to a movie like this in awhile. All the buzz say it’s amazing and I got my IMAX tickets waiting for me. Expect a review after I see it. Last movie I went to was Saw II with John and I thought it was a worthy sequel. Aside from one character going bat shit insane for no reason, it was good.
In an effort to make some money, I’ve bought some shares in Sirius Satallite Radio. For me that’s like sleeping with the enemy, but this could turn in to some money. I already have XM stock as my investment but I’m getting in on SIRI on the cheap end and if things go the way I think they will, I’ll be able to sell it early next year and make some money. If it takes off that would be completely bad ass. In some what related news, I still think Howard Stern sucks and Opie and Anthony kick his ass every single day of the week.
Oh, I have 3 Gamecube games up on ebay for mad cheap so look up scudnick and buy em. They’re up till Wednesday night.
Lastly, my sister and nephew are in town for the week. Danny continues to grow into the complete pimp that is just waiting to get out. He charms everyone, he’s really smart (kinda scary actually) and he’s funny. If you’re unsure of where you belly button is, he can let you know. I’ll put up some pictures sometime this week.
QUOTE OF THE DAY (oh man, I found my Ramapo quote file. Be prepared for a lot of these.)
“Hey Bagels…how do you like your meat? In your fist?â€
-Mr. Moe (week of November, 2001)
On my day off
I felt like ass again today and since I barely slept, I called outta work today. Woke up really late and did a lot of nothing. But, I did some serious maintainence on my computer. Cleaned it out, updated all the software that keeps it running like a champ. I spent at least 3 hours on my MP3 library. Used MusicBrainz to get the proper tags for my collection and it renamed everything correctly. Then I organized the shit out if it, made some new folders, combined things, got rid of broken and dup files. My MP3 folder looks tight as hell now. Then I did the necessary changes to Winamp making/changing the lists I have. I also looked for a new Winamp skin but the 3 year old MMD3 still remains far and away the best one available. You may be asking, why didn’t I just use iTunes for this? Well I hate apple and anything that looks like brushed metallic. More than that, I’ve tried iTunes 3 times and everytime it would lose the tracks in the list and simply not work. So fuck ’em I say. Winamp does everything I need, barely uses resources and kicks ass in general. For those curious it, I have 1400 mp3s. I still have CDs I haven’t ripped, but that is the bulk of it.
Oh and I recieved the first disc for Outlaw Star and watched it today. One of my top 5 animes and I’m not sure if I’ve seen the whole series. It’s been awhile since I watched it on Adult Swim (and the DVDs are uncensored). Speaking of DVDs, I’m getting an upgrade from Netflix for a month from a class action lawsuit settlement. Holla.
Stay frosty my friends.
Glenn Feron – The Art of Retouching
When you look at a magazine rack and paruse the covers, you may take what’s there for granted. Just a picture, one that tells the truth. Since the inception of computer touch ups (holla @ Photoshop) it’s best to keep in mind that the person on the cover is probably a lot more normal looking. Check out this gallery and see the the power that a graphic artist has.

Go get it
I got the Complete Calvin and Hobbes Collection and it’s a sight to be hold. Any C & H fan should get this book…hit up Overstock.com to get it for a fucking STEAL. Also, Franz Ferdinand dropped a new CD last week and it’s really good. Great toe tapper with a hint of funk that makes your rump move. Some fantastic drumming and musical soul on this album.
